                                                                                                                        (Elizbeth Hurley)

Born in Karachi, Pakistan, Designer Shakeel Rabbaney took his first precocious steps into fashion design at the age of 13 hand-painting mens shirts and shoes. He soon taught himself to use a sewing machine and a creative spark was ignited. After relocating to London, Shakeel studied fashion design formally and subsequently has carved a niche being recognised for his colourful creations combining contemporary design and hand-embroidery with classical elegance incorporating the influence of his Kashmiri heritage. Shakeel’s talents are not only limited to the world of fashion as he is an accomplished interior designer, has painted murals and designs in private homes, designs jewellery and shoes, recently an exclusive range of mens underwear, and a collection of handbags for a Scottish house (Highland stores). Shakeel Rabbaney has a wide and varied private client base throughout the world. His clothes have been worn by soloists on the stage of the Royal Albert Hall, and he has designed for several prestigious charity benefits including the Red Cross at the Dorchester and the Lord Mayor’s Show. He has also attracted the attention of prominent film and television producers being commissioned to make the costumes for an opera production by the BBC for the series ‘The Great Composers’. Shakeel participated in the Sky One's first series of PROJECT CATWALK, which was produced and presented by Elizabeth Hurley. ..
